Log in to your Vitality app
Click here to access this: https://www.vitality.co.uk/app/. Follow instructions to complete your Vitality health profile. You need to do this to be recommended Second Nature.

Select Second Nature on your Vitality app
Go to your Vitality app homepage. If you meet Vitality's initial entry requirements, you'll see Second Nature as an option you can learn more about. Read below* if you can't see Second Nature on your homepage.

Follow instructions to complete our health quiz
On clicking Second Nature, you'll be prompted to complete the Second Nature health quiz. This checks your medical eligibility for our programmes.

Select your Second Nature programme
If eligible, choose the medicated or non-medicated pathway. Your exclusive Vitality discount will be applied automatically.

A clinician reviews your profile
Your safety is our key priority. Once this final check is complete, your medication will be delivered.

What's the eligibility criteria for the medication-supported programme?
There are 2 stages of criteria you need to meet:
  1. Vitality's initial entry requirements: Their entry criteria states you must have a BMI of 35 or above, combined with at least one weight-related condition. The simple way to see if you meet this entry criteria is to visit your Vitality Member Portal, ensure you have completed you Vitality Health Profile, and check if you can see Second Nature as a recommended benefit. If you can't unfortunately you don't meet their entry requirements.
  1. Mounjaro's eligibility criteria: To ensure this weight-loss medication is safe and suitable for you, there are a number of further eligibility criteria you must meet. To help us assess this eligibility, on signing up to the programme, you'll be required to complete a full health quiz. A clinician will then review your responses to confirm your eligibility for the medication and programme. For safeguarding reasons, we cannot share this detailed eligibility criteria.
Please note, Vitality allows only one Second Nature benefit to be claimed per person. Therefore, if you have claimed the Second Nature benefit through Vitality before, you won't be able to access this saving again. What's the eligibility criteria for the non-medicated weight-loss programme?
You'll need to meet Vitality's initial entry requirements. To meet these you must either have a BMI of 30 or over, or a BMI of 25 or over and have diabetes.
How much will I pay? What exclusive discount will I get on Second Nature because of my Vitality membership?
The discount and you pay depends on the programme you join:
  • Medicated programme:
  • Exclusive Vitality discount: As a Vitality member, you'll save £100 on your first month, and £50 on each subsequent month for up to a year. This amounts to a total saving of £600.
  • You'll pay: £129 for your first month. It's a rolling monthly subscription from there onwards. For each subsequent month, the cost will depend on your medication dose, but the maximum you'll pay is £249.
  • Non-medicated programme:
  • Exclusive Vitality discount: You'll save £568 over a year.
  • You'll pay: A one-off payment of £20 for Second Nature's 12-week weight-loss programme, and access to their app for 1 year. Note, your subscription won't renew at the end of the year.
How do I earn my Vitality points?
You can earn up to 2,400 points with Second Nature. Your points are only rewarded when you achieve the following:
  • On the medicated programme, you earn the first 1,200 points when you have been on the programme for 3 months. You'll earn the next 1,200 points when you achieve 10% body weight loss.
  • On the non-medicated programme, you earn get the first 1,200 points when you complete the initial 12-week programme. You'll earn the next 1,200 points when you achieve 5% body weight loss.

I'm already on Second Nature’s medication-supported programme, but am a Vitality member. Can I swap over to claim this Vitality offer?
You'll only be able to switch if you meet the 2 stages of eligibility criteria mentioned in the first FAQ at the point of wanting to switch.
To check this, first visit your Vitality app and complete your Vitality health profile. If you can see Second Nature as an option on your Vitality app homepage after doing this, you've passed the first stage of eligibility.
You'll then be asked to complete your Second Nature health quiz again to confirm your medical eligibility for the Vitality programme as the criteria are slightly stricter (you need to have a BMI of 35 or over combined with at least one weight-related condition).
Note, as this is a separate programme and offer, if you decide to switch you'll need to start the Second Nature programme again, and will be added to a new group.
I’ve completed the non-medicated Second Nature programme through Vitality before, can I sign up to the medicated programme?
Unfortunately Vitality only allow one Second Nature benefit to be claimed per person. Therefore, you won't be able to claim this discount on our medicated programme. I’m currently on Second Nature’s non-medicated weight-loss programme with Vitality, can I switch to the medicated programme?
As mentioned above, Vitality only allow one Second Nature benefit to be claimed per person. If you've been on our current non-medicated programme for less than 3 months, Vitality are generously allowing you to switch over.
Note, you'll need to meet the eligibility criteria for this programme as detailed in the first FAQ. To switch over, please contact our support team at medication@secondnature.io who will help you.
I'm not a Vitality member, how do I become one?
To become a Vitality member, you need to have a health insurance or life insurance policy with them (either by paying for it yourself or as an employee benefit). To find out more about this, you can visit their site here: https://www.vitality.co.uk/.
